Privacy

What this site doesn't do

• No cookies.
• No analytics, no tracking pixels, no ad networks.
• No third-party <script src= of any kind — every script on this site is served from claudereset.org itself.
• No account, no email address collected anywhere on the site.

What's stored in your browser

localStorage, only on your own device, never sent to this site or anywhere else:

• Your theme choice (light/dark).
• Whether you turned on the in-tab notification button (see Notify me in this tab) and the id of the last reset it showed you, so it doesn't re-notify you for the same event.

Nothing else is stored. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

Requests your browser makes

Beyond loading this site's own pages, scripts and images, your browser makes two kinds of first-party requests while you're here — both to check that data is current, neither sends anything about you:

• Every page periodically re-checks this site's own JSON API for a stale-data banner.
• Your browser fetches howtok.net/api/resets to check the upstream monitor is alive, at most once every 10 minutes, only to refresh the freshness banner's timestamp.
• If you turn on in-tab notifications, your browser polls this site's own /api/v1/timeline.json every 5 minutes, only while that tab stays open.
• If you paste JSON into /usage-check/, it's parsed entirely in your browser and never sent anywhere.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's own edge access logs are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy, not this site's — we don't add any logging or analytics of our own on top of it.
